more…Dover District Council, working in partnership with Kent County Council the Town & Parish Councils has launched an innovative pilot scheme, designed to help the organisations engage more closely with residents throughout the district to work together to tackle common issues. Within Dover district, five neighbourhood forums are being set up, made up of the area’s county, district and town and parish council members that will act as an advisory body for the both County and District Councils. They will consult residents’ opinions and views on local issues, gathering suggestions at a neighbourhood level, and will also recommend projects for grant funding. Local Boards hold regular public meetings across Kent for you to come and have your say about issues that affect your community. Further details: www.kent.gov.uk and www.dover.gov.uk
