The White Stuff

Just when we thought it was safe to go out, another load of the white stuff arrives. Hopefully it won’t hang around too long but please take care in these icy conditions and if you need help or would like to report a particularly dangerous area please call me. Cllr Tutt is aware that there will be road and footpath damage that will require the attention of Kent Highways and is poised to do the rounds when the snow eventually clears. I will pass on your areas of concern if you wish.

Crime

It is with regret I have to report a burglary in the village. However I can report that the perpetrators were caught due to the vigilance and quick thinking of a passing postal worker and Capel residents. Whilst we would obviously rather these incidents didn’t happen at all, the community spirit and accurate speedy reporting has contributed to the arrest by Kent Police of nearly all of the criminals who have decided to darken our door in recent years and Capel remains at the bottom end of the District crime table. Please continue this good work and report all suspicious occurrences to Myself, PCSO Stevens, Dover police station on 01304 240055 or for crime happening now dial 999 with as much information you can remember.
